Glendalough Trip
In the morning, we met in the carpark in Ashford, where we loaded our luggage into the car. Everyone received a Hi-Vis Jacket for safety when walking along roads. Soon afterwards we headed off.
The day was scorching hot so we took plenty of water breaks. Some parts of the walk were really tough, especially the uphill bits. Everyone was wrecked by the time we took our hour long lunch break. Kyron gave everyone an icepop, and we topped up our water bottles.
After 17km, we finally reached the last stretch of our journey - the long private lane up to our house. After finding our rooms and dumping our bags, everyone immediately ran to the river outside, to sunbathe and soak their sore feet. That night we played a big game of Tip the Can and Capture the Flag.
The next day the 2nd Crews arrived. We went for a walk to the waterfall in Glendalough. After, we all walked home and the 2nd crews started setting up their tents. That night we played war games. Everyone wore loads of camoflauge paint, and hid in the woods and down by the river. It took hours to remove the camoflauge.
We spent the last morning cleaning our rooms and the house. Luckily it began to rain just as everyone was leaving.
